A HUGE Congratulations to Connected volunteer, Shannon, on receiving a Special Recognition Award at Sporting Communities Youth Awards!
We first met Shannon when she came on placement with Connected in early 2022 as a student at the University of Derby. Immediately, we were blown away with Shannon’s self-awareness and ability to reflect so it will be no shock to know that she absolutely smashed her placement and went on to become a really valued member of our volunteer team.
Shannon takes a warm and neutral approach to every person she meets, and we know she will go far in working with families, way beyond her role with Connected.
Well done Shannon – you are so deserving of this award, and we are so very lucky to have in our team!
